VBS 2018

Dear VBS Director,

VBS Logo-min.png

Oh the memories! In my years as an Associate Pastor, I was “Outback Jack,” a treasure hunter, a scientist, and many other characters. I had pies in my face, cereal dumped over my head, and put a nice sized dent in someone’s minivan with a boomerang!

One of my fondest memories is working with some amazing VBS Directors. Having led a number of VBS programs myself, I appreciate the hard work, creativity, and organizational skills they brought to this annual outreach. You are doing the same important ministry. Thank you for all that you do to help young people in your community and church hear the Good News of Christ!

Teaming up with Baptist Children’s Home means that children will be helping children.

We are passionate about reaching kids at Baptist Children’s Home, too. We understand there are many worthy causes to partner with for your 2018 VBS Missions Project. We hope you will consider allowing us to partner with you this year.

Will you and your VBS families help us this year with our Family Time Project?

One thing you can always count on is that teaming up with Baptist Children’s Home means that children will be helping children, in several foreign fields as well as right here in the USA.

This year our theme is “Family Time!” Where do you spend most of your Family Time in your home? Probably around the dinner table or in the family room.

Every year our children celebrate special moments at the table and in our home.

We strive to provide all of our children, domestic and foreign, with a loving, safe, and functional place to call HOME.

The children we care for come from some pretty traumatic backgrounds.  Overseas, many of our children were struggling just to survive before they came into our care. We strive to provide all of our children, domestic and foreign, with a loving, safe, and functional place to call “HOME.”

This year, we ask you to join us to raise the funds to provide needed furnishings for some of our homes. In our 4 domestic homes, some of our furnishings need replacing.

It is crucial that the children in our care have a safe, comfortable place to experience family sharing and bonding times, and know they belong.

Our homes have 2 to 3 times more children than the average home. That means our furniture, like sofas and dining room chairs, get a tremendous amount of use day after day! We are also targeting two of our homes in Myanmar. These homes need furnishings for their “Family Time” rooms.  The dining table and the family room are key areas to spend important time together as a family.

Family Time is also what God uses in our homes to reach young people with the Gospel of Jesus and help them to grow in Him!

Will you and your VBS families help us this year with our Family Time Project? We would love to be your partner in helping orphaned, needy, and at-risk children!
